Well, I have been having this thought for several weeks now: I find myself humming to The Supremes and wondering what it would have been if the UnHoly Trinity have covered their most famous single…
And then, I found myself fashioning the following list, with songs mainly sung by members of the UnHoly Trinity:
- Baby Love – The Supremes (Quinn leads the Unholy Trinity)
Just imagine a re-imagination of Come See About Me & Say a little Prayer, it just amazed me that they never did it. As presented in the video above, it could have been an actual entry for any competition.
- Lovefool – The Cardigans (Quinn leads the Unholy Trinity)
I know Rachel sang this during season 5, but still… This song was made for Quinn voice and with arrangements similar to those of Come See About Me where the backing singers could get a small line, they would have kill it.
- I Believe in You – Kylie Minogue (Quinn leads the Unholy Trinity)
Probably this is a recurrent justification in this post, however, Quinn voice would have suited perfectly the song, without need of the backing singers… Nevertheless, the video choreography and a recreation of such, it would have been more effective with the trio.
- Say It Right – Nelly Furtado (the Unholy Trinity)
I debated myself between Try, Like a Bird and this song, however, I truly belive that the trio would have work this song perfectly in a share-line basis and with some killer choreography.
- Kiss Me – Sixpence None the Richer (the Unholy Trinity)
At first I believed this hould have been a Quinn’s solo, but at the end I decided that again a share-line version of it would have worked as well (and not like the last two songs the trio sang together where Santana was in charge of the majority of vocals). The last part of the song I actually envisioned Quinn proving some soft ooh’s and aah’s similiar to those she provided during We are Young and Pretty/Unpretty
- Where Is The Love? – The Black Eyed Peas (Artie & Puck with the Unholy Trinity)
I imagined this secuence played in the school yard, pretty much like Empire State of Mind, where the girls would carry this chorus.
- Lady Marmalade – Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya, Pink (The Troubletones ft. Quinn)
Finally for this post, I decided to add this juggernaut where each girl would sing a part of the song, much like the original version as follows: Brittany – Mya, Pink – Quinn, Lil’ Kim – Santana, Mercedes – Christina and Missy Elliot – Sugar. It is obvious for me that a recreation of the video would have been needed. I envisioned this maybe as part of some Trouble Tunes number, adding Quinn of course.
